Back in the 90’s when I was a design and photography student I was set an assignment to capture the essence of local business people, so I hit my home town, Ampthill, armed with my trusty Practica SLR.

Unfortunately I was unable to find all of the photos I took back in 1993/4, I must have left my negatives in the darkroom where all images were hand printed using enlargers and chemicals. I had taken more photos in Richardson’s, a hairdressers and a tailors shop.

Lockdown was a great opportunity to go through all of my old negatives and get them digitized. Plenty more to come from our archives of projects based in Ampthill and the surrounding area… watch this space.
